Alt Legal CEO and GC to speak at INTA 2018 Seattle

Nehal Madhani, Alt Legal's founder and CEO, and Hannah Samendinger, Alt Legal's GC, will both be speaking at the Career Development Day at the 2018 Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association in Seattle.

Nehal will be speaking on the panel titled "Practical Tips on Legal Administrative Matters," which will be moderated by Jan Dohnal, general partner at Allen & Overy in France. Other panelists include Kristen Poggensee of Accenture and Russ Jacobs of Starbucks.

"Technology can severely lessen the tedium of administrative tasks and reduce the chances of human error,” Nehal stated. “Using technology allows attorneys to focus on building relationships with their clients and the most substantive of tasks. As the CEO of a legal technology company, I’m always excited to provide insights on how technology can allow attorneys and paraprofessionals to focus on substantive legal work."

In addition, Alt Legal's General Counsel Hannah Samendinger will speak on a separate panel at the annual conference. Hannah will speak on the "Careers in Trademark Law" panel, which discusses both traditional and nontraditional career opportunities.

Moderated by Alisha Myers of the Gonzaga School of Law, the panel will also include the following speakers: Steven Espenshade of Pirkey Barber, Barbarita Guzman of Markven, Theresa Conduah of Toyota Motor North America, and Mark Warnick of Amazon.

Hannah expressed her enthusiasm for speaking on the panel, saying, "I think one of the most valuable tools a law student can have is diversity of opinions on how to create his or her own career path. My personal journey revolves around prioritizing certain values and being open to new opportunities, which has led to a fairly nontraditional career. I'm excited to be included on a panel that will give students some of that insight!"

Both panels are part of INTA's Career Development Day, INTA's program geared towards students.

The INTA annual meeting will take place in Seattle, Washington from May 19 through the 23rd. More information about the student Career Development Day can be found here.
