 Alt Legal Community Event Terms

Thanks for joining us for Alt Legal, Inc.’s (“Alt Legal”) community event. Please review these terms and conditions for participating in our event. 

1. Alt Legal will use your personal information, such as email address and contact information, as necessary to run the event, provide access to the event, send emails and updates about the event, and communicate about future products, services, and events offered by Alt Legal. You also consent to your name and email being shared with presenters and sponsors of the event for which you have registered. You can opt out of that by emailing us at cle@altlegal.com with a reference to the specific event, but this will not opt you out of emails relating to CLE qualification and other operational emails.

2. Alt Legal is not liable or responsible for the actions of its sponsors, vendors, or attendees at the event. All views shared by our speakers are their own, and Alt Legal does not accept any responsibility or liability for any advice given or expressed by our speakers during the event or for links or contributions by third parties provided by attendees or speakers during our event. The maximum liability of Alt Legal for all matters relating to or arising under the event will be limited to a refund of your fee. By participating in the event, you have knowingly and voluntarily assumed any risks from attending this conference and related networking events. To ensure the best possible experience, please make sure you have a high speed internet connection. Alt Legal is not responsible for any costs (including mobile data usage costs) you incur in accessing the event.  

3. Alt Legal may take screenshots, videos, and recordings of this event for use in future Alt Legal promotional materials, including the Alt Legal website and social media channels. By participating in our virtual events, you grant Alt Legal the right to use any image, screenshot, photograph, and recording, in its promotional and marketing materials without additional compensation.

4. All intellectual property rights to the Alt Legal event, the content, services, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event are owned by Alt Legal, our sponsors, and/or the speakers. You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, license, publish, create, or derive works from any such content or materials for any reason without Alt Legal’s written permission. 

5. You cannot harvest, gather, or share private information from the account using manual or automated means or do anything that would compromise the security of the event. We reserve the right to use photographs, recordings, and other engagement of Alt Legal event attendees in promotion materials. 

6. Please note all sessions are recorded and can be placed online or transmitted to others without permission. 

7. You understand that Alt Legal is not a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice through its events or elsewhere.
